Monmouth Story Map
During the spring semester of 2021, Professor Michelle Damian of Monmouth College posed the following question to students in her Public History course:
"What story about Monmouth would you tell a visitor?"
With this question in mind, the students created three distinct virtual tours of the city of Monmouth that focus on telling a particular story. Students used historic images, conducted oral histories, and identified relevant artifacts and landmarks to develop a cohesive tour with an emphasis on a specific historical theme: immigration, architecture, and the military.
The Warren County History Museum offered its collection to students in Professor Damian's class to help them create their stories.
