Country School

Rural schools were an important part of community life. The Country School, with its recitation bench, pictures of Presidents Washington and Lincoln, water pail and dipper, and other equipment accurately represents a Warren County school of the early 1900s.

This exhibit contains many objects that were in school rooms like books, homework done by some of the students, a chalkboard, several lunch boxes, and even a 48 Star Flag.
